Mason Johnson is an attorney with Kiernan Trebach in Annapolis, Maryland. Mason completed his undergraduate education at Georgetown University in Washington, D.C., during which time he worked for the United States Senate. Mason practices in the areas of general liability, automobile and trucking liability, premises liability, and other personal injury litigation. Mason has handled numerous high exposure commercial litigation claims involving complex liability and medical causation issues. He has extensive trial and courtroom experience, achieving numerous successful defense verdicts.

Before joining Kiernan Trebach, Mason was selected to be a federal law clerk for the U.S. Middle District of Louisiana. He then entered private practice where he has worked with Fortune 500 companies and commercial insurers.

Mason is a member of the Maryland Bar Association, Louisiana Bar Association, and American Bar Association. He is admitted to practice in Maryland state and federal courts.

Mason is married with two children and is an active member in his community including his children’s schools.

  • Obtained summary judgment on behalf of a State Agency arising out of a Title VII Retaliation claim successfully arguing that Plaintiff had no evidence to establish any of her claims.
  • Obtained defense verdict in State District Court in a premises liability claim asserted by Plaintiff.
  • Obtained summary judgment on behalf of large grocery store chain successfully arguing that Plaintiff failed to meet requisite burden of proof on premises liability claim.
  • Obtained dismissal of Plaintiff’s claims arising under anti-hazing statute involving novel claim of negligence.
