Skip is a Partner based in the District of Columbia office with over 25 years of experience managing and handling complex insurance coverage actions, appeals in state and federal courts and multi-party/class action cases in numerous jurisdictions.  Skip is experienced in insurance, contract, and other commercial matters, as well as in personal injury, professional errors and omissions, and professional malpractice disputes.  He devotes a significant portion of his practice to counseling and representing insurers in coverage disputes.  He has defended claims ranging from attorney malpractice and professional errors and omissions to construction defects and general negligence.  Skip is also experienced in mass tort cases and class actions.

Skip has been recognized as a Top-Rated (AV) Lawyer by Lexis Nexis Martindale-Hubbell.  Skip is a court-appointed mediator for the Circuit Mediation Program of the United States Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit and the United States District Court for the District of Columbia, and he also mediates cases privately for parties.  Skip is fluent in Spanish and often assists in communicating with factual and expert witnesses as well as clients.
